University Certificate in German as a Second Language and Educational Language
German as a second language and as a language of education is regarded as a key component of continuous language education across all stages of education. This extracurricular programme, designed to strengthen students’ professional qualifications and personal development, aims to provide graduates with a solid foundation for teaching German as a second language and for dealing with social multilingualism before, during, outside and after school.
The primary aim is to critically reflect on language(s), language learning and language teaching in a society characterised by migration, and to adapt language- and content-oriented concepts for second-language and multilingualism teaching to teaching and learning contexts specific to different stages of education and working life.

The certificate code is Zert-DaZ. The requirements for academic credit are set by the lecturers for the respective courses. The award of credit points (CPs) is conditional upon active and continuous participation in the respective course.
