Central Student Advisory Service

We are here to advise and support you if you 

• are considering starting a degree at our university
• wish to transfer to our university from another institution
• wish to change your degree programme whilst you’re already a student
• need support with planning your studies or during challenging periods of your studies

We’ll be visiting various education fairs across the state to meet you in person. Please refer to the events calendar for details. There, we’ll be on hand to advise you on all aspects of studying at the Karlsruhe University of Education.

We also advise and support prospective students on all matters relating to our range of courses, study planning and joining a course at a later stage or transferring from another university.

If you’re already a step further along and would like to know more about the requirements and content of a specific subject within teacher training, you can visit the subject pages or contact the relevant subject or degree programme coordinators directly. You’ll find their details on the respective website.

If you have been enrolled on an undergraduate degree programme (Bachelor’s degree programme) for three or more semesters and now wish to change your degree programme, you must seek advice regarding your chosen programme. Depending on the programme, there are different points of contact for this.

Following your consultation, you will receive a certificate which you can then submit with your application. To arrange an appointment, please contact the Student Services Centre.

As a student at our university, you will receive advice and support on planning your studies, organising your studies and learning, difficulties during challenging stages of your studies, and dropping out.

In the members’ area of the website, accessible after logging in, you will find a wealth of information, as well as support, counselling and coaching services, right through to the transition to your pre-service training.
